Welcome to the Nest! A place to tinker and talk story.
The Nest Makerspace is a mini neighborhood lab/makespace on the island of O’ahu in Mānoa Valley. It is centered on playful hands-on making, elevating ancestral science knowledge, frugal science tools, and biomaterial design as we dream abundant futures and empower more people to see themselves as shapers of that vision.
Hyper-local research and development hubs can amplify local cultural and community knowledge to drive innovation specific to Hawaii's needs. This space aims to be a playful knowledge sharing space which uplifting local issues and interests, while also serving as a little incubator space connected to other biodesign and education spaces, both formal and informal.
